New Haven’s cultural and historical narratives are typically consolidated into fixed, institutional frameworks. In this project, the traditional, institutionalized approach to history is re-imagined; rather than static repositories, this project envisions an oral history archive as a vibrant tapestry of interconnected stories. 

The building’s design envisions the weaving of narratives through its form, represented by two interlocking figures. Spaces within the building are tailored to varying levels of public access, ranging from intimate areas for personal stories to a large auditorium for performances or community gatherings.
